Mariam Ali Al Shaloubi

Mariam Ali Al Shaloubi, from Sharjah, based in Khorfakkan City, graduated from UAE University with a bachelor’s in Translation Studies and minors in German and French languages. She worked on a research study on analysis in translating taboos into Arabic, published by Springers.

Mariam has been playing the qanun for five years, is the first qanun player in the UAEU Orchestra, and has achieved numerous awards in various fields in local and international forums.
