Pierre Minetti is a songwriter, a singer and a guitarist living in Barcelona.  Born into a Uruguayan family in Nancy, France, Pierre draws his inspiration from different musical styles like Reggae, Afro Cuban, Samba, or Candombe.  Writer and composer of Don't Worry, the first original Playing For Change song around the world, Pierre is currently involved in different musical projects like "Calle Sol" and "Batukeros de la Calle."

We met Pierre during our first trip to Europe, while he was performing with Batukeros De Calle in the streets. Immediately we could see his great energy, and hear his unique style of mixing French and Latin influences. We began working with him as a musician, but over the course of the project, he became a part of our production team--eventually traveling to Africa with us in the summer of 2006. Pierre wrote of the first original Playing for Change song around the world, "Don't Worry."
