Tom Canning

Tom Canning is a veteran keyboard player, producer, composer and Grammy-nominated arranger. Equally at home in jazz, blues, r&b and rock and roll settings, Tom's eclectic abilities have led him to collaborate with a Who's-Who of internationally acclaimed artists. Tom is well-known for his work on Al Jarreau's first seven albums, serving as Al's Musical Director, co-writer and co-producer. He has also toured and recorded with Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Wayne Shorter,

T-Bone Burnett, Elvis Costello, Johnny Hallyday, Glenn Frey & Joe Walsh, John Mayall, Rickie Lee Jones, and many others. In addition, Tom has been ongoingly active in Film and Television, writing and performing on a wide variety of projects, including Crazy Heart, Walk The Line, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Melrose Place, and the forthcoming new Starz series Magic City.
