Juan Carlos Victoria Muñoz, was born in Cali, Colombia in 1984 and started his musical career when he was a mere teenager. As a self-trained musician, he started playing in many different bands and quickly took up the classical guitar and bass guitar. Years later, he traveled to Bogota where he meet Toto la Momposina, a legendary singer from Colombia when he was playing on tour. Today, he is part of the band "Toño Barrio Latin Groove."
We met Juan Carlos while recording Toto la Momposina in Bogota. The day after, we recorded him in the center of the city, playing his baby-bass among tramways, cars and buses in the middle of a busy street.
