Ant Rich

While attending St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Ant Rich further developed an already bursting passion for music. He became a constant behind turntables at campus parties, on stage at open mics throughout New York's Village, and at historic record shops in both cities. Ultimately, Ant earned a degree in Urban Sociology from St. Joes and one in music from the streets of New York and Philly. After landing an internship at Jive Records in 2002, Ant worked his way through the major label system, honing his A&R skills. As he climbed the corporate ladder, he began working with a wide range of artists from Justin Timberlake, Usher, and Chris Brown to hip-hop's newest sensation, Dolla, Ant's first signing.

Steeped in record politics and radio driven music, Ant was seeking inspiration when Peter Bunetta, the Manager and father of Dolla's Executive Producer, and a close friend of PFC Co-Founder Mark Johnson, showed Playing for Change: Peace Through Music at his Jive office. Ant was overwhelmed, and immediately began enquiring about ways to become involved. Upon meeting the PFC team at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2008, Ant did his best to convince Mark and his partners that he cous assist in delivering PFC to the hands of those that would ultimately allow the world to see their vision. They have yet to look back. Upon completion of Tribeca, Ant hit the ground running, and was instrumental in bridging gaps between Playing for Change and several powerful distribution outlets. He has also recently been appointed the title of Director of A&R for Playing for Change Records. As Director, Ant will use his A&R skills to structure PFC's immense library of worldwide recorded material into marketable albums, while finding new talent through the multi-faceted genres and cultures encountered by the organizations and journeys.

A proud Uncle and God-parent, Ant Rich currently resides in Brooklyn, where he continues to develop his career. While managing the A&R department at Jive Records, Ant also guides the careers of several prominent DJs, re-mixers, and producers.

After watching Playing For Change at the Tribeca Film Festival, Ant Rich became obsessed with becoming involved with the movement. Ant was able to convince the team on his ability to deliver PFC to the hands of those that would ultimately allow the world to see their vision. After being named Associate Producer, Ant was instrumental in bridging gaps between PFC and powerful distribution outlets, most notably Concord Records and Starbucks.
