Joel Goulder

Raised in Columbus, Ohio, Joel has always had a meaningful connection to the arts and music. After earning a  degree in Production from the Los Angeles Film School, Joel and his brother, Jeremy, founded Engine 7 Films, which focuses primarily on the production of documentary films. Engine 7 Films produces documentaries that focus on socially conscious issues and topics that seek to create a positive change in society. In addition to Playing for Change, Engine 7 Films is currently in production on a documentary titled, ReGENERATION, which focuses on the contributing factors that have shaped our youth culture. This film is being produced in partnership with Anonymous Content (Eternal Sunshine, Babel). Joel currently resides in Venice, CA.

I was introduced to Playing For Change in 2006. After watching an early version of "Stand By Me" I was instantly floored by the power and potential of the project. The idea of connecting the world thru music and sparking a movement to come together as a human race was very inspiring to me. I find it crucial to collaborate on projects that I personally identify with. I currently work as a Producer for Playing For Change and plan to for many years to come.
