David Bacon

David Bacon grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area surrounded by the influence of music. David's father, Ernst, was a Pulitzer Prize winning composer and pianist; his aunt, Madi, was the founder of the San Francisco Boys Chorus; and his mother, Ellen, is a gifted soprano and life-long music teacher. David went to Syracuse University, and having traveled to many places around the world, he proudly calls Colorado his home with his wife, Heather, and young son, Benjamin.

Five years ago, I was asked to help produce "Playing For Change: Peace Through Music." This opportunity would allow me to help contribute music to the world much like my family had, but not being a musician myself, I could do this through film instead! We all know that what we've created is really more of a movement then just a film, and I hope our legacy is one that inspires new musicians to share with all of us how they see the world through music.
